Wayne Pheiffer Cycles

I popped in at Wayne's store this morning and it is unbelievable how much stock they fit into this store! Even more difficult is getting 30 minutes of Wayne's time as everyone wants to talk to Wayne! It is incredible that this store did its best month ever in a winter month of what some exprts call a recession and there is only one reason why - the incredible service that Wayne and the family give to each and every customer that walk into the store.

It is great to have Wayne as a Scott and Raleigh dealer and i hope that the store goes from strength to strength!

Knysna Bike Shops

Today I had really great meetings with Patrick from Ultimate Cycling and Jacques from Knysna Cycle Works. It's amazing how hard these guys work and the service that they try to give their customers even during very quiet times in winter they are both in their own way making Knysna a great cycling destination. Both shops organize rides and events and are a hive of information on the trails in the area.

I have great respect for the hard working ppl in the bike industry in small towns who sometimes go unnoticed for the service they supply to consumers and industry. I wish Jacques and Patrick all the best in the bike biz because they deserve it for the work they put in!!

Our 2011 product launches moves to Port Elizabeth this week with a launch on Friday evening at the Probike Port Elizabeth distribution centre 17 Darling Street North End.

The Holy Trail

Others call it The Red Route, but too me it's the Holy Trail. I have been riding it for as long as I can remember - 20 years? It's the reason I am working in the bike industry and why we have a house in Knysna. I have ridden many trails all over the world from Slickrock and all the other Rim Trails in Moab to the Leadville 100, but for me there is only one Holy Trail and yes I am riding it tomorrow afternoon and over the next 10 days I will throw in Kom se Pad, the original Epic day 1 and a good few Forresters!!

Probike Road Show 1 - Pictures Added

Thanks to the more than 100 dealers that made Probike Road Show 1 special for us. The response was fantastic especially to all the new products and particularly to the mid and entry-level 29ers! I will be posting pictures up here during the course of the day.

It's Road Show time!!

This weekend we kick of the 1 month Road Show moving our 2011 Scott, Raleigh, Maxxis, Slime, Probike Parts and BBB product to launches with our dealers in Johannesburg, Cape Town, George, Port, Elizabeth, Durban and Bloemfontein. It is a mammoth task to set-up these booths sometimes with only 2 days between shows. In the past year we have delivered cycling product to 2235 cycling retailers in Southern Africa and 38 cycling retailers in India. This is our most comprehensive road show in our history and it is the celebration of 75 years of being the trusted cycling partner to retailers in Africa and now India. The Probike Team is looking forward to this exciting and busy time!
