My first and latest bikes.

Some of the first bikes that my Dad bought me I remember so well: a 10 speed DHC road bike around 1975, my first BMX race bike around 1978 and the top of the range Redline PL20 around 1981 that cost my Dad about R 650 in those days. It was probably about 2 months pay for him back in those days.

What I remember the most was the excitement of seeing those bikes for the first time and the memories of all the great rides and races that I had on those bikes. There have been literally hundreds of bikes between 1975 and 2012, but this morning as I unpacked my new SCOTT Spark 29 PRO I was telling the staff here at Probike that the feelings of seeing the bike for the 1st time is as exciting as the most memorable bikes I had as a kid.
