Trails are more important than bikes.

Yesterday while I was at 38 000 ft above sea level flying over here to Mumbai to meet with our Probike India team a thought dropped into my mind: trails are more important than bikes. I was reading a pretty strange book by John Kehoe called the Quantum Warrior so I guess that is where the thought came from. But then I thought further about it and it's true!

I have probably owned more than 150 bikes, but my favourite trail is still The Red Route. I have probably ridden more than 75 of the bikes on The Red Route and every time I need to validate a bike choice I take it to The Red Route to compare with others.

So in our debates about 26ers and 29ers and all(I am in India)! Let's not forget that trails are actually the most important thing in mountain biking and we should all dedicate a little, bit of our time cultivating a relationship with our favourite trail and dontaing time or money to maintain it.

Bikes come and go, but trails don't and they are more important to us enjoying our sport!

Happy Cycling!
